macOS 10.15 ('Catalina') became available from the Mac App Store on October 7th, 2019. It is assumed the only fully supported version of macOS, all previous versions are assumed to be insecure.
Delta Delta V5.3.1 is not supported by Apple macOS 10.15 Catalina. Delta will not install or operate under macOS 10.15 Catalina. We are working on an update for Delta to run on macOS 10.15 Catalina and will post it as soon as it is available. DEVONagent here's a minor incompatibility that keeps the application's splash screen from being closed.

macOS 10.15 has become very restrictive. You will get plenty of dialogs 'Application X wants to access Y'. Keep in mind that if you deny such an action once you will not be asked again, and there is no way to find out whether you have denied this action is the past :(
Version 6.8.1 of ESET is required for Catalina. If you have an older version installed via the Self-Service just delete the ESET Endpoint Antivirus.app from your Applications folder, then open the Self-Service and run the ‘Refresh Inventory’ policy. Within the next 20 minutes the new version of ESET will be installed. Another option is to the the remove and the re-install via the Self-Service, but this does take a bit longer.

I have seen cases where the upgrade to Catalina broke XQuartz. Reinstalling the current version from https://www.xquartz.org/ solves the issue.
After recent update to macOS Catalina all programs are asking if I’m giving the right permissions for them. Unfortunately, with GIMP it was not the case and whenever I’m trying to open any file using GIMP I have the following error Could not read the contents of Desktop. Error opening directory /Users/myuser/Desktop: Operation not permitted, or different locations like Downloads, Documents etc. The only 1 way to open a file is currently right click of a mouse and Open with GIMP, it works fine. This option is limited though, for example when want to open many files.
The question is how to give the right permissions in macOS Catalina?
It seems to me you only need to update the GIMP version https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/3710#note_659997 and that should suffice
I encountered the same issue as well. Allowing “Full Disk Access” for GIMP did not work for me (System Preferences > Security & Privacy).
What works for me is that GIMP 2.10.12 has access to the logged in user’s “Pictures” folder on OS X Catalina so I just moved my photos to edit there. It’s ok as a workaround.
